Large volumes of diverse new ideas can change a physical space into a new perception of reality. A physical representation of the artist as an over-stimulated contained space. The sensory like confinement is executed by forcing the viewer into a close intimate relationship with the expendable ideas at hand. ( And what one does with them ) The viewer is forced to get up close and experience the over-whelming force of energetic over-stimulation. The relationship between the self and its immediate ideas have a strong societal connection that the media enforces upon our cultures in a relentless way. This intense experience and how it is used makes it very difficult to focus upon one’s own thoughts for a very long. One must simply filter, but this itself is a series of confrontations with one’s self. Easier said than done, unless one seems to have control over that big ego. The constant distraction with such things like advertising, perishable products, technology and one sided news will impact one’s perceptions to a great degree. I feel this is a huge psychological problem that human beings are facing right now with little indication that it is actually happening. Why are so many people sleeping so consciously? By using the ceaseless motion of an over-stimulated contained human space ( human beings and the body itself ) I will begin exploring these psychological and sociological issues as more ART realted installations for a controlled situational reality. Welcome back to NY….in a few hours.
